On the face of it the forecast looked pretty tame, 10-14 knots of breeze and plenty of sunshine for the spectators. But when it came to the opening day at Cadiz, this was a day that challenged all the teams, irrespective of their experience and where a sea wall played a big part in the proceedings. On top of that, Day 1 was also an example of just how closely fought the racing has become in SailGP with the tightest scoreboard anyone could remember after a single day's racing.
