Bill Mauk had an endless desire to learn, but also to share what he learned. In sailing this meant that he gave countless people (including myself) the opportunity to experience the sport he was so passionate about. Many people dream of experiencing sailboat racing, Bill worked tirelessly to give those opportunities to as many people as possible. This was not just through his involvement with class organizations, yacht clubs, non profits, etc. He led by example bringing tons of sailors, regardless of their skill level, along for the ride. Everyone that had the opportunity to sail with Bill always learned something new.
